Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in the hope that you will consider donating to Reason to Run 2012. In May I will embark on a run across America, starting in Washington State and ending in Delaware. I will run an average of 42 miles per day and will be running for 80 days. I hope to raise a substantial amount of money for two veteran’s charities that are helping veterans transition back to civilian life after war. My family and I have been personally touched by both of these organizations during my own recovery from combat injuries sustained in Iraq in 2007.
My hope is that you will be able to donate an RV for the duration of my run or that you will be able to give me a rent it out at a discounted price. I would need it between the dates of May 26-August 18 This will enable me and my four man crew to keep the cost of travelling across country to a minimum so that all our money received will go directly to my chosen charities.
The two charities I am supporting are:
OASIS Adaptive Sport’s (Outdoor Adventures for Sacrifice in Service) is located in the Finger Lakes area of New York. They provide veterans with outdoor experiences including skiing, archery, sailing and horsemanship.
Vacation for Veterans allows vacation homeowners to donate their homes for a week to wounded veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and their families.
