Rear diff. ratio change. by John Ford I am looking for a 5.29 or close to this ratio 2 speed ratio rear diff. for a 1976 IHC 1700 with a 22000 lb rear and air brakes.This truck has a 392 engine with a 5 speed trans.and a 7.17 and 9.77 ratio 2 speed rear.This should give me a lower engine rpm with a faster road speed.I also have 6.9 diesel out of a 1984 1600 to put in if I could find diff.
