1987 Holiday Rambler Imperial Gregg 8-7-11
I recently acquired a restored '87 HRC Imperial. All going well with it...but now the brake light is on. I'm looking for advice or a repair shop in S.Jersey or SE PA. It's got a Chevy truck under it.

Peddle goes to the floor occasionally, then eventually grabs and pushes back. A big problem!

Any help or discussion would be appreciated.

Also looking for a driver side front turn signal lens. Any leads on who would have HRC used parts?
Re: 1987 Holiday Rambler Imperial BUBBA THE BUS TECH 8-8-11
Your Holiday rambler does not have brakes, at least the way RV techs think.
The important thing we need to know is year and model of chassis. You said chev 454.
It may be a P30 chasis.
It sounds like a bad master cylinder, but that is a big guess
You need to have someone knolegable look at and confirm
The master cylinder is almost the only thing that will work sometimes and sometimes not with out large fuel loss.
Good Luck

Thanks for your help! It is a chevy 1987 HRC Imperial. Not sure but I think it is a P30 chassis. Have a inquiry out to previous owner who restored this RV...for more info on brakes and what he did and didn't do.

MC sounds logical. When I had the brake pedal floored, it grabbed all of a sudden and locked up creating a skid and slide, i guess, since I had it floored already...

It's a P30 for sure. Front brakes new, rear brakes inspected and good 1 year ago.
He thinks I should check & maybe replace the vacuum line... before the MC, then go to the MC if vacuum is OK.
