What caution should I use in removing the luggage racks?

Most coaches, other than MCI, have the luggage racks riveted in. These are the most difficult to remove for obvious reasons. But don't get doscouraged, it is a fairly straight-forward process once you get the routine down.

Use caution when removing the luggage racks if you are handling a reciprocating saw. You will encounter many wires as you move down the coach. Some were used for reading or interior lights, others for marker lights outside the coach. These are the ones you don't want to cut. So, be careful of these wire looms!

Other than that, you should have smooth sailing. Always wear safety goggles, and beware of cutting at odd angles. no bus conversion is worth the loss of a body part.
