Coach battery charging solenoid by mistermike
Post New Message Hello

1985 ford van for a fleetwood jamboree.

The coach battery is not getting charge.

I have checked voltage at the solenoid terminal. The solenoid works (I can hear it) when it is given 12v from a jumper wire. But I cannot get voltage to the solenoid by turning the ignition switch to "on". Any ideas?

I don't like having to chase this wire into the harness, I may just put a new wire from a new source.

Does this solenoid get 12v when the ignition key switch is turned to "on" or when the engine is running?
